AlterNet: "Earlier today, Fortune released an article on Sen. John McCain (R-AZ), in which McCain's chief strategist, Charlie Black, said that another terrorist attack on U.S. soil 'would be a big advantage' for McCain. Asked to respond to Black's quote during a press conference in Fresno, CA, McCain rejected it: 'If he said that, and I do not know the context, I strenuously disagree.'
Update: In a statement to TPM, McCain spokesman Tucker Bounds said Black 'deeply regrets his comments', adding that they were 'inappropriate'."

Well, what a conservative says and what he thinks and does are two different things. We know that there was inside information about what was going to happen on 9/11, and on that day the whole American defense in that region was practically taken out. Coincidence? No way!

Then there is the usual provocation by government and police during demonstrations. Even in good old England.
"Last Sunday afternoon in Parliament Square, Central London, and several thousand anti-war protesters were gathered to mark President George W. Bush's last official visit to Britain.
The crowd was, as usual, relaxed, supportive and friendly. So friendly that some people reckon an anti-war demo is a good place to find a partner. It certainly beats internet dating.
The man I was to meet that day, however, left me angry and bemused."
Read on.

Police officers are used to compromise peaceful demonstrators and incite them to violence. It happens all over the world. You'd be surprised how many infiltrators, even organizers, of leftist groups in the Netherlands are actually undercover police and secret service officers. Years ago there was a Maoist organization completely set up and manned by the Dutch secret service.

By the way, it's high time we removed all those secret nuclear arms storage and launching facilities in Europe.
DeutscheWelle: "Social Democrat and opposition politicians in Germany have called for the withdrawal of US atomic weapons from German military bases after a US Air Force investigation concluded that 'most sites' used for deploying nuclear weapons in Europe do not meet US Department of Defense minimum security requirements."
Removal of the nuclear sites would also remove the need to spy on the European citizens and groups active against the American military presence in Europe. After all, Bush is a criminal and American governments have shown to be rogue governments.

Archive: "Francis A. Boyle on the case against Bush and potential war with Iran
George W. Bush could be indicted at the state level for murder with malice aforethought, that according to internationally recognized legal expert Francis A. Boyle of the School of Law at the University of Illinois.
According to Boyle, President Bush deceived US soldiers about the reason for sending them to Iraq. Thus, he argues, the 4100 US soldiers who have died in Iraq thus far were murdered. Professor Boyle sees a variety of cases that could be brought and he believes it would take just one indictment and the whole house of cards would fall."

And George W. Bush has more plans:
ICH: "A Sunni legislator said on Monday that the security agreement to be signed between Baghdad and Washington would allow the latter to attack any country from Iraqi territories.
'The Iraqi-U.S. agreement contains several items that impinge upon the sovereignty of Iraq, including the right of the U.S. forces in Iraq to attack any nation and raid any Iraqi house and arrest people without prior permission from the Iraqi government,' Khalaf al-Alyan, a member of parliament from the Iraqi Accordance Front (IAF), told Aswat al-Iraq - Voices of Iraq - (VOI).

U.S. President George W. Bush had signed a declaration of principles with Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki on December 1, 2007. It was planned to be ratified on July 31, 2008 to be effective as of January 1, 2009.
'The agreement grants the United States the right to set up a large number of bases in Iraq, ranging between 50 and 58 bases,' said Alyan."

Firefox 3 is a big flop. I am not using any of the 10 million new 'improvements', and I am missing bits and pieces of my own websites. Firefox 3 does not show many of the bells and whistles of iWeb sites. You have to use special Applescripts to adapt your site. Then Firefox 3 also has difficulties with some foreign accents. So I am moving over to the older BonEcho 2, Firefox 2 or Safari.
Too bad. Firefox 3 does not live up to its promises.
