THE WAR CRIMINALS AND THEIR HANGMEN NATO's clown-in-chief Jaap de Hoop Scheffer is trying to humour Saakashvili and being a good lapdog to the US hawks. He is pathetic. He knows that Saakashvili is nothing but a tool in the hands of the Western imperialists to get Russia into submission. NATO is no longer a defensive organisation, it's highly offensive and expansive, and is a part of the neo-imperialist new world order. It is in essence a fascist organisation that does not recognise the sovereign rights of other nations. There is no excuse. At a moment when the chances for peaceful coexistence never have been so positive, NATO is heading the wrong way. Jaap de Hoop Scheffer is the shame of the Netherlands. By the way, the only reason why the Dutch governments were/are so happy to hop behind rogue elements like George W. Bush is that our leaders are eager to be rewarded with top jobs. Jaap de Hoop Scheffer is a lackey. Anyway, if we are to believe the latest news about Georgia, Jaap is overstepping the mark. Saakashvili is a liability, he is a loose cannon on rolling deck. And being friends with a war criminal like George W. Bush does not make it better. Recently, speakers Vincent Bugliosi, author of 'Prosecuting George W. Bush For Murder', Colleen Costello, Human Rights USA, David Lindorff, and Journalist David Swanson raised the issues at the Robert H. Jackson conference. Bush should be indicted for war crimes under US Codes. Additionally, Bush may be prosecuted, as well, in international courts, in this case, the Hague for having abrogated US treaty obligations with respect to the conduct of war, i.e, war crimes." IT'S THE PEOPLE, STUPID! So now we are in a financial crisis, a crash, a collapse of major proportions. Banks are collapsing. And all that is real enough. However, what happens when a bank collapses due to sub-prime mortgages? The CEOs have earned good money, some are even getting millions in golden handshakes; crashed banks are taken over by bigger ones, increasing their grip on the market, and some receive government help, that is help from you and me. So, in fact, the burden of the collapse is going to the taxpayers. Now, what happens when sub-prime mortgages go bad and people can't pay their mortgages? They are dispossessed and the bank gets the real estate, which of course is not worth as much as it was before. Nevertheless, the real estate goes to the bank, or to the buying bank, and in some cases the banks are bailed out by the government with our money. Actually, it's not the banks who are the victims, but the people. And when banks are closed or taken over it's the employees who are out of jobs. We all saw it coming. Those in power knew what was going to happen. Capitalism is a system with built-in crises. First they blow everything up sky high in their greedy urge, and after they have reaped huge profits, they let the system go bust, and suddenly the government has to step in and bail them out. The profits are privatised and the losses are socialised. It's a great scam. So what is going to happen is that YOU (especially if you live in the US) are going to pay for the debacle, your money will bail out the greedy American banks. Nearly 61 percent of local and state homeless coalitions say they've experienced a rise in homelessness since the foreclosure crisis began in 2007, according to a report by the National Coalition for the Homeless. The group says the problem has worsened since the report's release in April, with foreclosures mounting, gas and food prices rising and the job market tightening." What we have seen is that there is no self-regulating mechanism in capitalism. We have been lied to. Capitalism is a scam. As long as the wave of privatisations and deregulation is not stopped and turned back, we will continue to experience crises. Capitalism is essentially predatory. And it was also shown that clinging to the global leadership of the US is not good for the rest of the world. The US is a rogue country led by criminals. It is time to go our own way.
