The first update of iMovieHD was out today. I suppose more will follow for the other apps. For just $79 you get GarageBand 2, iMovieHD, iPhoto, iDVD and iTunes. iPhoto can now handle RAW files. We no longer need an expensive app to process those files. I can now try it out on my Nikon D70.
It is clear Apple will have to provide for the handling of very large folders. A standard HD is soon too small. So Steve's next task is to make access to external drives easier for iPhoto, iTunes, iMovie, iDVD and GarageBand.
And I am really taken with GarageBand 2. From the net I took a simple MIDI song and made my own arrangement of Cockles and Mussels. When you drop such a file in GarageBand it splits up in several tracks/instruments. Apply some channel mixing, change the instruments and you have the performance you like. Great app!
