BE PREPARED
The Observer: "The simple truth is that stock market prices do not rise all that much over the very long term. Periodic catastrophic declines that destroy years of accumulated profits are the norm, not the exception."
The only profits that can be made seem to come from short-term investments. And exactly these wreak havoc on financial markets, national economies and industries, even continents. The gains made by one party are the losses of an other party. The gains are made by selling shares, which always means they then drop in value. It is a game of constantly shifting stocks. A fiction.
