TBL gets a knighthood

TBL gets a knighthood as a recognition for his contribution to our culture, science, politics, business, spirituality......as i wrote to an email i sent Sit Tim a few years ago: many thanks for making the Web part of our public heritage, and thank you because since the mid-1990s i know that my voice is as powerful as ever. A true knight indeed, as TBL, is not afraid of sharing and giving away what others would seek to capitalise upon.

Requiem for a dream

last night i came back home around 4 in the morning after a christmas kind of drinking session with friends, and not having to wake early, (and having snatched a few divx from a friend's collection) i decided to watch a movie instead of going straight to bed. the movie is so fast - that's unbelievable. it's one of those movies that rocks your world. great performances, smashing minimalistic script, dark atmosphere, ominous progression of scenes, superb music by Clint Mansell, and a shocking perspective on the chemical generation. it's also great because it's one of those movies that speak different things to different people. and it's neither pretending to adopt a clean-cut  approach, not it critiques the get high on your own supply attitude. it just records the lives of four people, all of which are facing their inner ghosts, while walking down the path of catastrophe. there it is. of tremendous value. a must for everyone. enjoy.
