reading therapy like every other year, the beginning of the new year, is among other things, the beginning of a new reading diet, which i may never be able to digest. sven guckes today prompted me to either post reviews, commentaries on those books, or stimulate discussion around some of the books, if they interest other people too. so, here's the first part of my reading therapy: 1. cornelius castoriades - world in fragments 2. cornelius castoriades - the rising tide of insignificancy [pdf] 3. cornelius castoriades - the revolutionary problem today 4. toni negri and michael hardt - empire [pdf] 5. bertrand russell - history of western philosophy 6. george soros - george soros on globalisation 7. giorgi plekhanof - anarchism and socialism 8. marshall mcluhan - understanding media and extensions of man 9. max stirner - the ego and his own and [pdf] 10. john dyer witherford - cyber-marx [pdf] 11. roger williams - the metamorphosis of prime intellect 12. richard wagner - the artwork of the future i've started reading all the above books, and i've already finished nearly half of them (3, 4,6, 7, 8). if you 're interested in discussing any of these books, let me know by leaving a comment or email me. i'm not sure i like posting reviews here, but i surely like discussing them. 3:13:51 AM Say it loud [] Trackback [] |

get your resume right says Joel on Software, and he offers some pretty helpful piece of advice on how to get your cv right. respect punctuation orthodoxy, sound like a human being in your cover letter, the personal pronoun *i* should be always in capital (unlike here where punctuation orthodoxy mingles with psychotic unorthodoxy) use a respectable email account - z445hr@hotmail.com is thus out of the question, don't apply for all job openings at a firm because that makes you you look desperate, don't try to patronise, and be as relevant and informed about the specific post and company as possible. this is as good an adivice as it gets. 2:41:28 AM Say it loud [] Trackback [] |
