Gary writes in to ask:

Is there a GUI interface for modifying the jazn-data.xml file within Jdev 10g?

Sure. In JDeveloper 10g, select the Tools | Embedded OC4J Server Settings menu choice to bring up the dialog that lets you configure everything about the embedded server. Notice that in the tree at the left, there are two root nodes: one named Global and one named Current Workspace. Depending on whether you want to edit the global users and roles, or just the ones for the current workspace's application, expand the "Authentication" node under the respective root you are interested in. Then you can see the defined realms (by default, there will be one named jazn.com), and for each realm, the users and roles. You can edit those lists right there from the dialog.
