Peter Ebell of the Oracle JHeadstart teams blogs about the new 10.1.3 version of the ADF JHeadstart Workshops. I haven't had a chance myself to attend a workshop yet for the 10.1.3 version, but I attended one of their 10.1.2 workshops and found it extremely thorough and well worth the time. I'm certain the 10.1.3 edition won't disappoint.

I've added Example #94 to illustrate how to create a view object based on a parameterized PL/SQL function returning a custom table type result and how to use that view object as the detail in a view link by choosing bind variable names cleverly and overriding the default view link SQL clause. The example includes a simple JSF page and Swing panel to show the dynamic view link accessor results at work in a tree display.

Oracle published a new Statement of Direction: Strategy & Roadmap [pdf] document on OTN for Oracle JDeveloper and Oracle ADF. It provides high-level details on the key feature areas we are improving for the JDeveloper/ADF 11g "Fusion" release, the next major release of our tools and frameworks. Before this next major release, we plan to deliver routine maintenance release versions 10.1.3.1 and 10.1.3.2 as well (the former which is already available as a Developer Preview on OTN).
