Headline: I was the only one getting a pedicure WITHOUT a tablet PC in my hand. Details: Today I went to - was it Babbette's? Bubble's? there's two of them on 8th street in Chelsea NYC - Anyhoo I went to the nail shop. As the first person there, I settled into one of about 12 reclining chairs with a footbath, and noodled with the massaging remote that's not a remote. Boy I thought I was something, coming in before the crowds, mastering the little remote thing with its cycles and arcane modes. Then the rest of the clientele came in. "Spa pedicure" one requested, briskly, which is what I was getting too, but she started right up tappity tapping on her tablet. All that talk about form factor really is important: a laptop would have been totally stupid in this situation, but a tablet was just the ticket. Then another tablet-bearer on the other side of me - I was surrounded!
