My good news today is that what I see happening in our country these last few weeks as a result of our polarized view on world crisis events (mainly regarding Iraq) is that the people of this nation, people like you and I, are getting involved, making our individual and collective voices heard. We have been political couch potatoes for a while, long enough to let go of the reins, cease to vote, and to display all manner of apathetic symptoms, with attendant consequences. But now we seem to have awakened, become revitalized, yahooo!!! I'm happy to see all of us, regardless of political persuasion, embracing our responsibilities and freedoms with intelligence, conscience and fervor. We are so fortunate.
Of interest to me, possibly to you:

PS:
The perks of living in SoCal: Driving north on Pacific Coast Highway yesterday, stopped at a stoplight, who should make a left turn in front of me with the window of his chiffon yellow Bentley rolled down? None other than the babyfaced basketball phenom Kobe Bryant, easing gently south on PCH with the big blue Pacific on his right. How fun. More later.
With love,
Shannon
