Courtesy of Tom Tomorrow comes this little anecdote about Rumsfeld:
Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld, asked about Tuesday's car bombing in Iraq that killed about 50 people, said there are murders in every major city in the world "because human beings are human beings."
Car Bombs, those crimes of passion.  Unpremediated.  It just happens.  One moment you're drinking tea, then the realization that your country has been invaded by an Imperialist power, next thing you know, you've grabbed your car bomb from the shelf in the garage and there ya go.

I guess, though, that that's the new PC version of "boys will be boys"... and nimrods will be nimrods regardless of what office they hold. Unelected, mass-murdering, drug-addled, corrupt pResidents will be Unelected, mass-murdering, drug-addled, corrupt pResidents...

or something akin.  Now, I knew that Kerry had some music in his past--differently so than Clinton.  I dunno.  Not on the same as Mr. Orin Hatch.  Was he every in a band in his youth?  Anyhow, there's an interesting Washinton Post article on Kerry's 60s band, the Electras.

The article also mentions Erik Lindgren, a cool musician in his own right, who runs the great Arf! Arf! Records

I initially misread the line: "The Electras album is worth less." ... course that's different now.  Not that it'll garner four grand, but magine if/when Kerry's president... that record'll be something.  Maybe erik'll get reiss rights.
