Pretty good article on the increasing ubiquity of PowerPoint. I was not surprised last week when my 2nd grade daughter came home and said they were doing "a PowerPoint" in school. I have used in since the first Windows version, but I am not a huge fan of presentation software. Next time I am on the receiving end of a sales presentation, I think I will prohibit the presenter from using PowerPoint (they can pass out handouts if they want). We are steadily becoming a more and more visually-oriented culture.

New Year's Resolutions:

  1. Start a weblog.
  2. Get my digital photos well-organized (probably using iMatch).
  3. Start reading books again.
  4. Get up-to-date in Quicken.

I am of the "it's best to set a few, reasonable, attainable goals" school.
