It looks like the New York Times has changed the way their article emailing works--for the worse. Previously, you had the choice of "email a link" or "email the full text". The default was the former, which I considered a defect, but a very minor one. Now they have followed the lead of many other publications, and apparently taken away the ability to email the full text. Because, of course, they would rather "drive you to their site".

I obviously understand their motivation. And since I am not paying for their services and content, one might ask "who am I to complain?" But I am complaining, and since there is an easy work-around (printer-friendly version, cut-and-paste), they will be puninshed. Instead of knowing who was reading what, and being able to put text ads in the email, now they will get nothing at all from my email "patronage", such as it is.
