One of the complaints levelled against Safari is that it doesn't have tabs. Personally, I could care less, but some people like that feature. So much so that eelee has released a shareware product called Safari Tabs.

You're a television station. You commission a new science fiction series. That series becomes your second higest rated series and the top series to draw in the key male demographics. So what do you do? Well if you're US channel Showtime and the series is Odyssey 5, you cancel the it. According to Sci-Fi Wire reports that Odyssey 5 producers Sony Pictures Television are looking for a new home for the series.

Has Tesco lost the plot? I was shopping in Tesco Clearwater (Finglas) last night and I happened to notice the adverts on the brand new moving displays that were installed near the shop entrance before Christmas. One of the ads was promoting the London Underground while another was for Orange, who don't operate in Ireland. Didn't someone check these before putting them up?

Can your cell phone impair your vision?. Talking to someone on a phone while driving gives you "tunnel vision" and reduces response time by about 20 percent, according to a new study. [CNET News.com]

This is frightening, especially when you consider how many drivers in Dublin, particularly those of buses and heavy vehicles, drive while talking on the phone.

Mac Opera gored on Safari?. Opera Software says the future of its browser for the Mac is clouded now that Apple is producing its own, revealing a larger trend where Apple's efforts squeeze out third-party software vendors. [CNET News.com]

The downside of Safari. I always liked Opera but it never grabbed me sufficiently to dump Explorer.

Apple server products gaining momentum [MacCentral]

Good to see the Xserve gaining some ground. I've always been worried that Apple might not have the experience to sell into what is a very different market from ones it has been used to.
