Seok Jae-hyun, Imprisoned By China Still For Crime Of Photographing NK Refugees Unsuccessful Attempt To Escape NK Through China, Is Subject Of Gallery Show Of His Work, More. It's an absolute scandal that China imprisons those like Seok Jae-hyun who have shown sympathy for the North Korean refugees passing through China who are fleeing North Korea for their lives. Geography has made China the only way out of North Korea for them. Only a tiny fraction make it. Thousands dont and are repatriated back to face a terrible fate in North Korea's prison camps or execution for the 'crime' of 'betraying their motherland' - i.e. trying to leave - which is a crime in North Korea - . Given this policy, it is not human to send them back, it is barbarity. And it is illegal. China must stop. Or face the consequences. http://times.hankooki.com/lpage/200403/kt2004031118495712100.htm Rights Groups Fight for... [Free North Korea!]
