Friday, Feb 28, 2003 ::: It was the 1st Tokyo Blogger's Party and got to meet some really interesting folks. The party was @ The Pink Cow which is in Harajuku, fashion mecca of Tokyo. I had a blast. So many people with blog's that I've recently visited were there. Many of the bloggers have been here for awhile, so reading through them you can get a feel of what Tokyo might be like as a foreigner (note: sometimes I'm American, sometimes not .. sometimes I'm Japanese and alot of times not .. so what am I? .. want to use this blog to explore this too.) Mie from TokyoTidBits was there(a moblogger). How I found the site and actually meeting her was kinda neat .. I just read an article "Now Bloggers Can Hit the Road" and was curious about moblogging, especially being in Tokyo w/ all these keitai's around me. So I posted a question on the Keitai-List to see if there are any similar Japanese apps. One of the responses mentioned TokyoTidBits. This site shows what's possible w/ a keitai-camera(like exploring Japanese public baths .. not endorsing). Also, video. I browsed through the site and returned to the list. Another post mentioned a blog party tonight(fri). I thought 'Shoots, we go chekem out'(wannabe Pidgin). There I was at this party .. cruzin .. then bumping into Mie. Trippy! This reminds me of this part in the book I'm currently reading, Linked, where the author is getting into six degress of separation .. how we're only so few people apart of each other. This networked world is sooo small ... spooky.
