Allen Weiner: The Global Sports Talk Opportunity Allen Weiner: "I have told anyone who will listen that one of the great future businesses/applications will be a national (followed by global sports talk show." He's likely onto something. Sports is a topic that people love to talk (endlessly) about. And as he mentions, technologies like VOIP and Skype can enhance this. On the other end of the spectrum, I think podcasting is a good medium for local sports. Or for folks who live in other parts of the country and want to get an update on what's happening back in their hometown.
