New kid on the block...QUAKTOR Quaktor - the mighty duck...he's out there blogging away and is working on learning how to use comments and templates and all the fun blogging stuff.... he has a heart of gold and the occasional voice in his head but all in all he's a great and cute kid and he's trying to decide on what he is..the mighty duck or something else..i'm leaning towards the mighty duck :) 3:20:46 AM    comment [] trackback [] Laws of Project Management I found this in a friend's office and if you have ever been a project manager, you will relate to the LAWS OF PROJECT MANAGEMENT No major project is ever installed on time, within budget or with the same staff that started it. I'm almost 99% sure that I have a new job, I talked to the guy today and he said they want me to come in next week and get the layout of the IT stuff and then the following week, to the get the layout of the operations stuff. He would have an offer letter for me next Tuesday..I would be manager of admin and IT services for a month or two at 50K and then promoted to director of finance, admin and IT services with a raise to 60K once I took over all the finances. The commute is a bitch but he's flexible with hours..he said I could come in a 10am after the commute hour and miss it all which is a blessing..only an hour commute that way. I've done longer getting to the city in the mornings..yeah!!! So it looks like I have a job, officially starting full time on the 24th of May.  Thanks for everyone's advice. My parents kinda of freaked me out a little about the job and I guess it made me second-guess myself..i need to learn to listen to my inner voice..where the magick happens...its usually the jobs that find me that are the ones that are good for me...now i just need to learn what a logistics company does. and thanks for everyone that has been there when I lose my jobs and struggle with my inner demons..   3:13:12 AM    comment [] trackback [] My heart is...
