new template design almost done... thanks to rhye and tweezerman, the template is getting there..except its still tiling the image..i just want it to be one big image and for some reason now, the table and the body aren't transparent over the image..hmmm..just took out the repeat code, maybe that will take out the tiling problem... ok..its getting there..any other thoughts? it tiling the image or repeating the image over and over, I don't want that. I made the image a little bigger but maybe I need to make it bigger still the text is now in a white space on top of the image, I want the text to floating over the image so you see the image behind it rhye/tweezerman thanks for the css code help so far.....*smile* putting the thoughts from my head into code..sometimes drives me nuts but in the end is all worth while ***update*** Thank you Rhye and Tweezerman..for being patience with me and helping me figure this all out, ITS WORKING!!!! I've been trying to create a new theme..here is what I want to happened and I can't figure it out...any help or thoughts or ideas would be greatly appreciated... I want a picture to be the background of my theme, like it is floating behind everything else. Then I want the actual context to be on top of the picture. An example is here (not that evil looking just an example of what I'd like to acheive): quaktor's blog, if you notice his content flows over the picture in the background. My picture is softer and basically white..maybe that's my problem, my background theme color is teal and maybe it overshadows the picture..hmmm.. do i need to put the picture url here: body url  instead of having body bgcolor="#33CCCC"???  this is the test page 3:18:40 PM    comment [] trackback [] Newbie Themes Test Page the work situation... I'm been really busy and I just got a second job in the mornings for a couple of weeks (a temp job) and here is where I need an opinion.... Current Job: Flexible Hours,  Bookkeeping, getting them into the 21st century. Currently is full-time but when I was hired, I told them for a part-time position my min rate was 23/hr and that I was looking for a full-time position with benefits and at a min of 25/hr. I think they like having me around full time though because when I mentioned that we both knew eventually this would be part-time work, one of the owners said not for a few more months... New temp job: 8-11, 20/hr for basic data entry and I get some more exposure to Great Plains..good opportunity for me, boost my skill level a little and only for 2-3 weeks. I told current job that I had a new temp job in the mornings and was it ok for me to come in a 12 instead of 10, they said its was fine and said wow, I was going to be busy but didn't offer me anything in the way of more money or full-time with benefits. I had an interview Wednesday with one of their competitors (i didn't realize I applied for it until after I went to the website and saw who they were) and the guy really likes me, we've talked on the phone and he's very interested. And maybe I'm just thinking too far into the future...but the question here is: Since the current job has never specifically come out and said they want me full-time, more money, benefits, etc.. and they didn't seem to concern about why I was taking another job temporarily, do I keep looking for that fulltime great job? I still want to work for current job..part-time in the evenings and that is about all the work they have for me anyways...hope that makes sense..i'm all jumbled in my thoughts today.. 3:10:37 PM    comment [] trackback []
