Tigerpaw Software - which is what part of my business is - consulting and implementations has taken down their discussion board which in general just sucks for a few reasons
- their knowledge base isn't very good
- their tech support is only open 8-5 their time which is 2 hours ahead, so if I have a support question at 10pm, I have to wait til the next day
- the discussion board was a place where users could help other users and those weird questions could get answered and you could post questions to the Tigerpaw team
- my other problem is one of their support guys - I don't think he likes me very much and he doesn't listen, he's pissed me off quite a few times and everytime I call I get him
I asked why it was down and they said it was taking alot of their development team's time to answer questions and alot of people were getting free support - I understand that but to take it down completely - why can't it be tied into support numbers like when you call them you have to give them your phone number
sooo on that note I've decided to try and create my own discussion board type of blog category for my company, at least a place where i can note down my answers or fixes for simple things. Probably not everything because I too want to charge for my time but simple things like how to fix the icons from greying out
