myRSS - Excellent Tool With Top Level RSS Community Interest

myRSS is an excellent tool that allows you to create your own RSS feed for any news-oriented website. You don't need to know how to program or understand any of the XML and RDF incantations to get RSS to work. Simply type in the address of the page you want the feed produced from and let myRSS do all the work automatically. Your feed will be instantly available and better still you can use it for almost any purpose for free.  Comments on this tool - courtesy of Dave Winer, are provided below:

I read Dann Sheridan's description of myRSS, a tool I had pointed to on Scripting. http://www.xlogs.net/2003/11/05.html#a960

The way he explained it surprised me, it sounded too easy to be true. http://www.myrss.com/new.html

So I went there, and gave it the URL of the Harvard Gazette. http://www.news.harvard.edu/gazette/

And it, in turn, gave me the URL of a RSS 0.91 feed it synthesized for the Gazette. http://myrss.com/f/h/a/harvardC18z700.rss91

How exactly did it figure that out??  I'm going to subscribe to it and see how it works.

If it does, we're well on our way to cracking the nut of turning Harvard into a weblog.
