Senators Getting RSS! Great post from the [The Shifted Librarian] on the use of RSS in the political realm - beyond the presidential campaign. Senate Begins RSS Rollout: "Senator Joseph Biden (D-Del.) is the first Senator with a RSS news feed for press releases on his official site. Feeds for other senators will soon follow according to Jason Blum in Enterprise Systems Support of the office of the U.S. Senate Sergeant at Arms. Plans call for what Blum refers to as 'RSS relay agents.' These are local customized feeds for hometown constituents for NOAA weather alerts and state news." [RSS in Government]. Biden's feed is here. This is really thrilling news, and maybe it will even prompt legislators to post more substantial news more often to their sites!

NBOR Player Available For Download Downloaded NBOR today - and it is quite an interesting product - one that I need to understand more before I form an opinion of its utility. NBOR (pronounced na-BOR) is an operating system-like software application that was in secret development for nearly ten years - four years in conceptualization, three years in specification design and three years being written to code. Blackspace, the user interface for the NBOR application, seriously breaks prevailing rules of how code has been written for the last 25 years and is still being written. Significant of the technology's one-of-a-kind revolutionary capabilities, over 1500 claims in 60 patents have been either issued or are currently pending with the U.S. Patent Office, plus a large number of pending foreign patents.
