Web shortcut could threaten content sites

In the Business section of today's NY Post, this article describes RSS as a "threat."

But as the technology is embraced by a growing number of media companies, critics worry that RSS will be used to bypass advertising the way TiVo is used to skip commercials.

Seems to me it's better described as a "challenge." And that challenge is to come up with an adequate business model for a technology that works very efficiently. But in the interim, it will be necessary for content deliverers to take advantage of RSS.

Medical alerts via RSS? What's taking so long?
