This is a close-up view of the 650's screen so that you can get an idea of the improved resolution over the 600.

The New Sprint Treo 650

This image is courtesy of cahsdad from the TreoCentral forum. He was given an hour by his Sprint rep to look it over.

In this shot, you can see how the keys are back-illuminated. The coloration is reversed from the 600, i.e. now the number pad keys are darker. You can see two extra buttons on either side of the d-pad. These are the Home and Menu keys brought up from below the keyboard.

The screen is supposedly twice the resolution; it has a removable battery; and it has limited-use (hands-free car accessory) Bluetooth. I'm not sure about the camera--it probably should be megapixel.

This model is leveraging the basic design of the 600 to add some improvements without any changes that will influence my usage at least. I'd prefer not to deal with two batteries and I have no real need for Bluetooth. The real improvement will be a model that will take advantage of Verizon's or Sprint's planned EV-DO networks, but at the premium of paying upwards of $80 per month.
