I'm on the last leg of my trip ... in Seattle now. Spent a day in
the city and liked the feel of this place .. it feels liberal and
artsy, with loads of curious galleries and antique stores downtown.
Pat Sachs of Social Solutions
is hosting a global consortium of workplace anthropologists,
ethnographers and qualitative researchers and I'm thrilled to be a part
of the group. I met several colleagues from Spain, Japan, Germany
and the US last night over dinner and it was such fun swapping
stories. Mary who is originally from Israel, and now lives in
Japan, shared many stories about Japanese culture, language and people
and they were fascinating. We're all going to spend the day together
today, figuring out how we can take this Global Consortium forward.
Many other bloggy thoughts that I will cover soon ... have just been so lazy about blogging. Placeholders for me:
