I didn't actually see the England-Switzerland game, though I did get to see the goals. 3-0 was a bit flattering to England, who didn't play as well as they played in their 2-1 defeat against France. But that's football. England just need a draw against Croatia to be sure of progressing to the quarter finals. But that's not going to be easy, after Croatia held France 2-2 in the night's other game. It's always amusing to see the pundits get it totally wrong, but the BBC team were convinced that Croatia had given up by half time when they were 1-0 down. Not a bit of it - within 7 minutes of the start of the second half, they had gone 2-1 up. Trezeguet managed to score to bring France back to 2-2, but the Croatians held on to a point they thoroughly deserved.
