"Randy and I presented a session this afternoon on edublogging to various faculty, teaching staff, and librarians at the University of Alberta. I think the session went very well, and we were grateful to have so many questions and to see so much interest in blogging tools. I?ve posted an HTML version of the presentation for others to look at. [The Shifted Librarian]

While it may not help James Farmer with what he wants to accomplish, I was somewhat impressed with NewsApp, a no frills tool that creates a customized web-based aggregator. Signing up is easy, and creating a page is even easier. (if an RSS Feed is not included in the long list they have, just add it!!) And its free (well, after 14 days, they place an ad on the page). While it is a bit simplistic (truly no-frills), I'm sure it can be useful for those who just want to read posts from their favorite weblogs without having to download an aggregator. I've created a simple one as a demo for readers to show off. I've placed this in my "mention this at presentations" folder. The one issue I see already is that the posts from my weblog are a day behind at most. I guess they only scan the feeds a few times per day. Oh well, it's still useful...that is what free will do or ya. [Library Stuff]
