Blogging Book Club. (Via Jenny) Bloggerbookclub is sponsored by the Roselle Public Library District. A super cool way for kids from grades 4-6 to share thoughts on a book. This is something that I'd like to initiate next year with my third and fourth graders, but I'm thinking I could even do this with my second graders, too. Another project to add to my summer "plan-out" for next year list. [Edublog News]

This would be great for older readers too, I think. I'd like to try something like this next year.

Watchdog Concept in Ed. "Will" (via Anne) points out Watchblog and the many benefits the three column blog can offer educators. He notes several ways this could offer an environment for comparing "discipline specific learning objects" and class to class comparison discussions. Off the top of my head, I can also see it being used to manage and communicate information about various committees in a school or district. Also, a cool way for mentors and "mentees" to interact, and collaborate, etc. As Will's says, "This spurs all sorts of ideas." [Edublog News]
