This is an interesting online business opportunity - it's called PayPerPost, and they offer payments of various amounts based on the willingness of the advertiser to pay as well as the difficulty of the task.  Some tasks pay $5 per post, and there are even a contest that pay $1,000 if you are the winner.  For some, it's easy money -- for others, it is a curse on the blogosphere that will spawn dozens of other sites just like this -- sites where buzz can be generated almost immediately if you are willing to pay enough.

I think the curse argument is a little overblown - most blogs are run for profit -- even if their owners claim otherwise -- bills have to be paid, bandwidth is not free, and who the heck wants to work for someone else the rest of their life? In fact, for a smart marketer, there is an opportunity here to create a site similar to the PPP site -- line up advertisers who are willing to pay for quick buzz, and start signing up bloggers.  It's quick and easy -- all you do is act as the middleman for the transactions and collect a small piece of each payment for yourself for your trouble.  This is an area of marketing that will explode in the coming months - get in early.
