Most People Registering for the Marketing Class
Well, the registrations for holistic health business classes are really
pouring in this week, it's great! The class with the most
registrations is Marketing Isn't Advertising - Five Keys to Effective Holistic Health Marketing.
It is going to be a really fun class. Nine people have signed up,
and I have to limit the classes to sixteen total, so I may have to ask
people to defer to next month's class if it keeps going like this.
I have a tender spot in my heart for marketing, especially after I
realized that one of my businesses that I ran several years ago failed
precisely because I didn't pay enough attention to sales and marketing.
Since then, I've been doing everything I can to learn about it, and,
not surprisingly, my businesses have been much more successful!
Holistic health marketing is quite a challenge, because it's mostly
services, and services are harder to market than products. The book, Selling the Invisible,
makes this very clear and helps illustrate how services need to be
marketed differently. The old familiar "word of mouth" is okay, but it
is just a start. There's a lot more to it.
