Well the holidays are over (well, except for you folks who celebrate the Epiphany), we have two college football champions, and the Packers are still in the Super Bowl hunt. And I am now in my lovely (at least it will be when I get the boxes sorted out) home office in the heart of West Allis, Wisconsin.

I'm doing my heavy backups this week, as I plan to wipe my drive and bid a fond farewell to Windows 98 and SuSE Linux 8.0 to join the modern world on both sides of my box. The DSL guys come on Martin Luther King's (actual) birthday, Jan. 15. I will try to document the process here (along with a few other steps in the transition). By the time that's all said and done, I may have a new book project. Goody!

Lots to talk about, but no time to do so--I'm back on dialup for another 10 days!
