ABC Sport - Cricket - Waugh defends bowling attack after draw "Australian Test cricket captain Steve Waugh has defended his bowlers after the first Test against India at the Gabba in Brisbane ended in a draw. India finished on 2 for 73 in its second innings, far adrift of the 199 runs it needed for the outright win. A surprise declaration from Waugh at 3 for 284 in Australia's second innings had set the Indians the target with 23 overs left to play. The Indians needed to score at 8.67 runs an over, and suffered two early setbacks when Test debutant Nathan Bracken claimed two wickets from two balls in the second over."
