Who Listens to the Radio? I Do
A new radio station started in Sydney in the past few weeks. It's called Vega 95.3 from DMG Radio Australia (they guys behind Nova 96.9) and it is aimed at the 'Over 40' market with presenters such as Angela Catterns, Wendy Harmer, Francis Leach, Tony Squires & Rebecca Wilson. The new station has brought some controversy with it. So, out of curiosity, I tuned in this afternoon and listened the the drive show with Tony & Rebecca. It was like an old episode of The Fat when it was still on the ABC. I liked it. The music was more oldies than I would have liked, but the banter was entertaining. So, I have a new routine. In my morning commute I will continue to listen to Merrick and Rosso on Nova969 and for my evening commute I'm going to switch from Richard Glover on ABC 702 and start listening to Tony & Rebecca. I bet you are wondering why I'm not listening to podcasts or cds in my car - well my commute is pretty short and it's the only time I get to hear any news during the day.
