Enterprise Service Bus gains traction

The move toward adopting a service oriented architecture and having a framework to deploy web services is facilitated by the use of an enterprise service bus which provides a relatively low cost alternative to past implementations of enterprise application integration.  While state and local governments are often much slower than the commercial world to adopt new technology, Wisconsin has led the state and local world in making a low-cost enterprise service bus the cornerstone of information sharing in the state.  For an ivestment of only $300,000 rather than the multi-million dollar bids received for EAI, Wisconsin just went and did it.
