I was discussing with a friend last night how difficult it is for me to not be really socially active during the summer. It's so wonderful to go to outdoor concerts and go swimming and go to festivals and just be in the outdoors and sharing that with someone else. That, combined with our American drive to work at least 40 hours each week, is leaving me exhausted and not taking great care of me...you know...grocery shopping, cooking, going to the gym, working ahead on work to keep my career in check.

Always a question of what's actually important long-term....what is long-term and when will it come and what will I actually be glad about once it is here.  And, and, and. 

I can honestly say that up to this point...I don't regret a single fun activity I've ever done. I may not be quite where I want to be life-wise, but I wouldn't trade the fun...

I hate to hurt someone's feelings.  Sometimes we have to do it for our own sanity, but still...

There was a Real Live Preacher quote today that struck home, "When you really trust someone, you have to be okay with not understanding some things."   Why they do things, why they say things, why they feel things, that they will be there, that they do love, that it's not all selfish....trust...
