The Battle of the Greasy Grass

At Custer's last stand, a first stand for Indians. Some 127 years after Little Bighorn, native Americans will finally get a memorial honoring the Indians who died in the famous siege. [Christian Science Monitor | Top Stories] My thought on this headline/story is IT'S ABOUT TIME! Geez, I wonder what took so long?

Further, the article states: ..."they will finally get a memorial honoring the Indians who died in the famous siege. On a barren ridge overlooking the Little Big Horn River, fringed by cottonwood, the federal government will unveil a circular monument recognizing the Lakota, Northern Cheyenne, and Arapaho fighters who repelled an invading army sent to extinguish their traditional way of life." - Hoka Hey!

Yet another...

Well readers, once again I've had to re-create "A Collection of Thoughts." I was using Blogger Pro, it is no longer functioning. Why? I have no idea. I cannot add new posts nor can I view previous posts. Basically, I can't do anything at all so what's the point of having a weblog if one cannot add anything to it? Makes no sense to me. The company is not responding to my request for assistance. I find this behavior to be unacceptable and have moved on. I have decided to go with Radio UserLand, let's hope this will be the last major change.

I'm having to learn an entire new program and system for weblogs. I haven't yet figured out what to do with my previous posts from the other weblog. Stay tuned...

War Dog Commemorative Stamp

Their training is intense; their working conditions are deplorable; their lives are always on the line; and in at least one case, namely Vietnam, their rewards were non-existent. This profile describes the most innocent and vulnerable of combat veterans-our Nation's War Dogs. After most wars, surviving dogs were returned to American soil and given a welcome reserved for heroes. After the Vietnam conflict, this warm reception did not take place. Sadly, thousands of canine veterans were either killed in battle or left to die in a foreign land. Let us be able to honor these courageous, loyal canine veterans with a, United States War Dog Commemorative Stamp. Please sign the
petition to honor these Canines!
