Incredible! I was hoping this was some sick joke (but it seems real)? Follow up: It seems this was real but someone reconsidered (I assume after pressure was applied). Follow up to the follow up: Not only is the project cancelled -- the site seems to have gone black -- if only the government of the U.S. could move as quickly to fix some of its more serious asinine moves. 11:35:42 AM        comment []    Back in the Saddle I am back home and front of my computer after 10 days vacation -- no computers, no email, no TV -- just the lake, a few books, some sunshine (and some rain for good measure), and my family(well some newspapers, radio and a pile of CDs -- can't escape from the world and technology completely). So far it seems nothing momentous happened in my absence from online activities and TV watching(well I missed a F1 race and a the CART Vancouver race on TV -- but I will survive). I still haven't seen any indication of the future of Userland but I ponied up my $40 at the end of the evaluation period so I can continue post.
