SAP rolls on

SAP grows third-quarter profits, U.S sales. The German software maker reports a 25 percent rise in third-quarter profits and a spike in U.S sales, citing market upheaval caused by recent mergers as a business advantage.

How can this continue to happen (SAP success I mean)? Every SAP project I have ever been close to (though I have never really be directly involved in one) has ended in a disaster of some sort -- careers ended, organizations near financial collapse, bitter infighting, cost and time overruns. Obviously they must have success somewhere. Where? Has anybody been associated with a SAP project that was considered a resounding success?
