QNX

Just read that QNX Software Systems was sold to Harman International (of Harman Kardon/JBL fame) for $126 million (not sure if that is Canadian or U.S.). I had a fair amount of association with Dan Dodge, Gord Bell (the founders) and what was then known as Quantum Software Systems in the early eighties when I worked for Cemcorp, one of the first large OEM purchasers of QNX. I remember both as "good people" -- strong technically and morally -- and I am sure they have not changed.

Congratulations!

(further investigation reveals that the purchase price was $138 million U.S.)
