What exactly was Paul Stoddart/Minardi up to with all the injunctions and flip flops? Clearly they were capable of complying to the regulations all along and had the parts ready to go(suddenly overnight the cars were modified and complied). The only thing I can think of is that the cars are faster in 2004 trim so he was trying to move up a few spots, gain some financial advantage perhaps at the expense of Jordan/Red Bull/Sauber. I always thought Stoddart was a positive in F1, allowing entry to a large number of deserving drivers but now it looks like he is a cheating snake like the rest.
Then there was the wet/drying/raining again qualification. A real comedy of errors there. By some horseshoes up the ass luck Villeneuve ends up 4th and Schumacher at the back. Unless there is a similar weather screw up today it looks like many of the fast people will start from the back. It should make for an interesting race though.
