The second installment of Jinni's Journal is in today's N&R. Everything I have written so far about my wife's breast cancer can be found over at What's Up With Jinni. (Thanks Shu)
The main reason Jinni agreed to share her experiences with fighting breast cancer was not the money involved, because there isn't any. She wants as many people as possible to be able to read about her experiences so as to de-mystify the subject and keep far-flung folks informed about her progress. So far, our only request of the N&R has been that her journal be made available online. The first one was available until it slid behind their pay-per-view curtain about a week after publication. To keep the journal available online, I posted a saved copy of that one and will do the same with today's. But I sure wish they would simply keep the series available where it was first posted.
C'mon guys, we're not asking for much. Why not just place the whole thing in the 'Health' portion of your 'Life' section and then leave the links alone?

The N&R was going to use a picture of Jinni with her hair cropped short, but they re-ran the wonderful photo from the first installment instead. The photography department contacted me about using this one for the article to show the change, and I gave them permission to do so, but I guess it didn't work out.
I'll put up a picture of her new look soon. She got her head shaved down to a buzz on Friday.
It's really pretty amazing, the shorter her hair gets, the better I like it. I always had a thing for Demi Moore in G.I. Jane, if you want to get an idea of her latest transition. I'm going to get her some combat fatiques for Christmas to flesh out the fantasy.

JINNI'S JOURNAL
Jinni was contacted by the Greensboro News &Record to write a periodic column during her battle with breast cancer. Jinni hopes that her experiences will help others understand the process of getting through the disease. Online versions of her columns are below. Check back for updates.
