I just finished a book marathon on c-span. 12 hours of authors speaking about a book they wrote. They often spoke about why they wrote it. They spoke with great conviction about the topic, the person, or the situation. They would read a passage with a riveting focus.
I want to read every single one of those books. Why? Because they inspired me. They "breathed life into" their creation and I saw that creation as each author did. Truths were shared with love. Passion was tempered with wisdom from the pain and perspective of writing a book.
Yet aren't we each writing our life's work now? Aren't we creating each moment, each page in our book of life?
How often do we think, feel, speak, or act with the spirit of those authors I saw on c-span?
I suspect no human can be at this peak every moment. But let's practice creating more such moments. And let's cherish those we do have.
