Here is a message asking for help. Can you help or know someone who can? Ms. Turner was a faculty member in the department of Sociology at Kwantlen University College for the past 30 years.
Subject: Literacy in Kenya
From Lynda Turner:
As many of you know, I'm going to Kenya in January 2005, to help at a new university. One of my projects is to set-up a literacy outreach program through Western University to reach mothers and their children in their isolated villages. The program will involve both English and KiSwahili. These people have nothing! It is my belief that literacy is a vital first step to get them out of their grinding poverty. I am looking for help in this literacy endeavour. Can you help me? Please contact me at: kenyalynda@yahoo.co.uk
Thank you.
