The posts will slow down now. I'm driving to Florida for Christmas tomorrow. With any luck my wife will drive a while tomorrow and I can read or do some work. Looking forward to a little golf with my son. He's working the weekend and through Christmas. If you're on Continental Express with a pilot named Mintchell, say hi. I got behind this week trying to crank out the January issue of Automation World and didn't podcast. I'll start that up after the first of the year.
This is prime reading time. I need to finish my notes on "Seeing What's Next" by Clayton Christenson. Then it's Jared Diamond's book following "Guns, Germs & Steel"--"Collapse". Also on the bookshelf are "Turning the Future into Revenue" and "Double-Digit Growth" for business and Ken Wilber's latest "Integral Spirituality", Teilhard's "Christianity and Evolution", and Schelling's "Of Human Freedom" for my philosophy side. I've been taking notes for a book on freedom for years. Maybe someday things will slow down enough to work on it. I might even fit in a couple of novels by Erik Larson that I heard about on IT Conversations. If you don't know Wilber, his integral studies are interesting. I guess even Notre Dame has an Integral Business curriculum.
I wish for you all an awesome Christmas or whatever holiday you're celebrating at this time of the year. May the peace we all are wishing each other come to pass next year.
