What platform do you use to develop Java applications? I use both Windows and Linux. You may not care about this question but many like me care about what platform do developers use. I always thought 80-90% of Java developers use Windows platform for development because Windows is the standard desktop provided in almost all organizations. But I'm proved wrong. According to the results by the recent poll on preferred development platform by Java.net only 37.9% use windows. Linux comes close with 37.5% and Mac OS X had a nice showing with 19.7%. You can view the poll results at http://www.java.net/pub/pq/17.
