Fed up with life in the UK we moved to France for a new start. Left behind the private schooling, traffic jams and housing estates for a better quality of life. We now live in Brittany, France running gites (holiday cottages).

Saint Helene
Caroline and the childen went with the grand-parents to La Bourbansais Zoo today. I got left with the mowing, strimming and finishing the fireplace. Put the last coat of paint on. Here is the story of the fireplace in pictures.

These are our experiences of running a gite business in Brittany, France. A gite is the French equivalent of a country holiday cottage. French culture, language, taxes and bureaucracy.
