Fed up with life in the UK we moved to France for a new start. Left behind the private schooling, traffic jams and housing estates for a better quality of life. We now live in Brittany, France running gites (holiday cottages).

We
decided to splash out on Saturday and replace the rather tired looking
green plastic tables and chairs on each gite patio with some new posh
wooden furniture. The local shop had a promotion on which helps, but
when you have to buy three of everything it's a little more painful.
We are both really pleased with the improvment and they do look good.

These are our experiences of running a gite business in Brittany, France. A gite is the French equivalent of a country holiday cottage. French culture, language, taxes and bureaucracy.
