Happy Birthday Troy!!! [Posted by Kim] That's right everyone, our very own "when and where" blogger Troy turned 28 today. The very day of his successful Frankenstein opening. He also just got his acceptance letter to Old Dominion's PhD program. Congratulations Troy, we love you!

It's Alive & Open for Business! [posted by FraneknTroy] Well, after two years of work, tonight we officially opened the traveling exhibit Frankenstein: Penetrating the Secrets of Nature, which was created by the National Library of Medicine, funded by the National Endowment for the Humanities, and administered by the American Library Association. We had a great speaker and a good turn out by students, staff, faculty, and community members. The Moraine Valley Library is only one of 80 libraries nationwide to host the exhibit, and I'm in charge of it. I am living and breathing Frankenstein. If any of you plan on being the southwest 'burbs of Chicago, take a look at our schedule of events and stop by. They should be good. We are holding close to 20 different events (including films, panel discussions and lectures). For you Chicagoland folk, I would encouarge you to join us for the closing reception which will be April 28th at 6:30pm at the MVCC library.
