News in Purfleet There are two sources of news in Purfleet. Printed papers is what I'm talking about. There's the 'general store' that provides mainly copies of The Sun, The Daily Star and The Daily Sport. The other is Ailses. Here's a picture:
Ailses is run by a quaint elderly couple. Probably the grumpiest people in Purfleet. Ask for a copy of the Guardian and see what happens. The great thing about Ailses is the smell of piss as you enter the store. First thing in the morning on the way to the station, you decide you want to get a newspaper. To enter the store press the latch, listen for the 'ting' of the bell and brace youself for the power punch smell of 40 year old urine. Lovely. 11:12:14 AM |
