Lakes & LandUse Coalition of Oakland County Established
The Lakes and LandUse Coalition of Oakland County was established on
August 12, 2004 by 4 Towns Citizens Action Team, White Lake Residents CARE and Concerned Citizens of Commerce with other interested parties present.
The purpose of this organization is to:
* Bring community action organizations together on a regular basis to share goals, objectives and progress;
* Provide united voices for a responsive and responsible local government; and to State and Federal agencies;
* Protect the lakes, wetlands, and open spaces in our communities and promote walkways, pathways and development of beautification amenities in our areas;
* Promote alternatives to road expansions and support sensible, pedestrian-friendly road improvements;
* Support various modes of transportation that will consider non-motorized traffic, the handicapped, the elderly, school children and motorized traffic.
